COMEDIAN BASKETMOUTH BRINGS THE NIGERIAN KINGS OF COMEDY TO LONDON

Leading African comedian Basketmouth returns to the UK with the Nigerian Kings of Comedy with an exciting line-up for the first time at the London HMV Apollo on 11 August 2012. The Nigerian Kings of Comedy has been running for a few years and is undoubtedly one of the most exciting events during the summertime for African entertainment.

In celebration of the London 2012 Olympics the UK’s leading African promoters Cokobar have put together this showcase to celebrate the cultural mix that will be heading to the most multicultural city in Europe, London.

Cokobar have continually showcased and supported unknown and known African talents on a wide scale, acts such as Eddie Kadi, Kevin J, Andi Osho and Gina Yashere have all taken to their stage. Basketmouth who made waves with his free flowing, storytelling and enthusiastic comedic performances also had a hand in elevating “new skool” of comics hailing from Nigeria having been given this platform of expression.

On 11 August 2012, a calibre of great acts, Bovi, Igodye, Igosave, akpokoro, Buchi, Simcard and more will grace the stage with their sketches and stand-up comedy. The hilarious group of comedians are promised to take Nigerian comedy to another level bringing their vibrant buzz to the stage. The improved showcase will be bigger and better and will prove why it constantly sells out to audiences every year.

Also joining the comedians on stage is Chocolate City Music Singer Brymo who will be performing his hit singles Ara and Good morning.
